Dee, check out this Urban Jewellery” campaign, which integrates over sized pieces of jewelry into public, urban space. Stone roadblocks become cufflinks. Pendants are placed upon chain barriers to create “necklaces”. i think that it is appropriate to accessorize public space in the same manner we would accessorize ourselves. This work is by Liesbet Bussche in Amsterdam.

Re-Spring spring spring

Hello Rash,

I haven't written anything in a while, I have been so busy the past week but I promise will post soon. London weather is unpredictable as usual, we had a lovely Spring weather the last 3 weeks and now winter is back! Well, it is normal for us to keep talking and complaining about the weather, and I probably became very English in that way.
I love the Tree that you posted, is it new in Lebanon? Is it still flowering now?
Here are a couple of photos I took of the blossoming magnolia and cherry trees. I love London in Spring!  Unfortunately, the blossoms last for 3 weeks or so only and then gone.

By the way, notice the Gorilla in the garden ;)

Dee I have always been fascinated by those trees that bloom in spring. They are called tabebuia I think Amazing no? Guess where they are located :)

Check this gardening blog http://thepotholegardener.com/ , it's so cute! Creating miniature gardens in the holes found on the streets, in the pavement, in the walls of the city, from London to India. I really like the idea, it raises awareness of the importance of having green spaces in the city, and lets the creativity flow!

Possibly something along the same line for Beirut? I heard about the Green Beirut Project http://beirutgreenproject.wordpress.com/ and I have been following what they do. I would love to be involved! Hmmmm will have to think how I can do it from London, any ideas?

Have something else to tell you about tomorrow and it involves shoes ;) , will keep it quiet until then !
